SWEATSHOP is een autonome installatie waarin tien naaimachines noeste arbeid verrichten.

Acht meter lang, drie meter hoog. Een installatie vol naaimachines. Zij werken onafgebroken en worden nooit moe. De machines in de installatie worden tot het uiterste gedreven om hun doel te behalen. SWEATSHOP onderzoekt het grensvlak tussen mens en robot. Wanneer wordt de één de ander? Hoe verhoudt SWEATSHOP zich tot de discussies rondom de ethische kwesties in de tegenwoordige kledingindustrie?SWEATSHOP is an installation in which ten sewing machines, by manner of speech, work themselves to death.

They keep working all the time and never become tired. The machines in the installation are pushed to their very limits to reach their goal.
